I haven’t yet titled this ambitious project, but there’s actually two trilogies under development that will have Book One, Two and Three of each published concurrently. If the story-line ends up working how I’ve plotted it out to, then one trilogy is for children (likely 9-12 year olds) and the second is for adults. The ‘grand plan’ is that parents can read one trilogy, while their children (or nieces and nephews, students or whatever) can read the other. Neither gives away the plot arcs (if you read them at a similar pace), as the adults trilogy visits the back-story of the characters at the same chapter points as they are happening in ‘real-time’ in the children’s books.
You’ll be able to tell that I watch Outlander and Vikings, and that my niece is forever telling me about Frozen, as you read the novels as I drew inspiration from all of them.
The first books of the trilogies is being aimed for release in 2019, although I am currently in early stage talks with publishing companies (rather than self-published) as the children’s market is more specialised.
